New Member Application

How to apply:

1. Fill out the questions on the following pages and submit your completed online application. Follow up with your preferred payment method - details on page 3.

2. For Associate or Junior members, the office will contact you to finalize your application. For Senior members, the membership committee will contact you to arrange an interview.

The application process does not start until the membership payment is received in full.

Senior Membership Fees

Notes:

• *Boat introduction fee permits a senior member to keep a boat larger than a sailing dinghy at the club, and varies with
  initial boat size: Dry Sail, less then 29', 29' - 34'11", 35' - 39'11" and 40' or more. If a larger boat is acquired later, the
  incremental boat introduction fee will be required
• Storage fees are individually calculated, based on the measured Beam x Length-Over-All, including all pulpits, davits, swim
  platforms, etc.
• Summer storage/square foot: in the harbour $4.36, Drysail $1.87. Winter storage is $2.19 per square foot
• Capital Fee is $332 + 13.5% of Summer Storage fee
• Mast crane use, haulout, and launch are included in the storage fees
• Senior members have a minimum billing of $90 per calendar quarter on food
• Fees are payable over 12 months with a pre-authorized debit program
• Annual fees are adjusted each year, and usually increase by an amount close to inflation. Annual fees are from January 1st
  and are pro-rated
• All fees are subject to HST

Senior Membership is full family membership with use of all Club facilities. A Senior Member is entitled to use of a slip and storage for one vessel subject to availability, may vote at General Meetings and can hold office in the Club. He or she must be 18 years of age or over, pays the initiation fee and boat fee (based on boat size) upon acceptance and pays dues and storage fees annually. Senior Members are expected to contribute 25 hours of their time; however, if they are unable to meet this commitment they may pay the appropriate fee in lieu of contribution hours. A Senior Member and spouse may form a Family Membership but only one of them can exercise privileges. When two or more non-spouses own a boat in partnership, one owner must apply for senior membership and the other must be an associate member, there is only one initiation fee and one boat fee paid.

A Junior Membership is an individual membership and does not include other family members who may attend the Club as Guests. A Junior Member has use of all Club facilities and may keep and store a sailing dinghy, kayak, or paddleboard, subject to space availability, and only after demonstrating to the club that the appropriate liability insurance is carried by the junior member, or the junior member’s parent or guardian. A junior cannot vote at General Meetings and may not hold office. An applicant must be 7 to 29 years of age on January 1st. A Junior Member applying for Senior Membership will, after five consecutive years of membership have the member initiation fee waived. A Junior Membership application must be sponsored by a Senior or Life Member.

An Associate Membership is an individual membership and does not include other family members. An associate’s spouse may apply at a reduced rate. An Associate Member has use of all Club facilities and may sail with another member but may only keep a sailing dinghy, kayak, or paddle-board at the club. He or she cannot vote at General Meetings and may not hold office. This is an annual membership that expires at the end of March. After two consecutive years of membership, an Associate Member may apply for Senior Membership and can apply 66% of dues previously paid towards the initiation fee and, after 15 consecutive years, can apply 100% of dues previously paid to the initiation fee.

Allows the member to keep a sailing dinghy (launchable by hand on a ramp) on the premises, year round. You will be responsible for moving it each Spring and Fall to the designated Summer and Winter storage areas.

Co-op Sailing Programs

Any Member may join the Co-op Sailing Programs and, upon acceptance and payment of the prescribed fee, has the use of the program’s boats in accordance with the program's rules.
This program requires a Junior, Associate, or Senior membership (via this application) and a separate application. See Co-op Program for details

Liability Insurance

Prospective members are reminded that proof of valid automobile and vessel liability insurance in the amount of $2,000,000.00 or more may be required to be presented to the Club at any time.

Senior Membership:

Please pay the Senior Membership deposit of $100 + HST = $113.00.

Junior Membership Fees:

If the junior is :

• 24 or under - payment is $78 + $10.14 HST = 88.14
• 25-29 - payment is $170 + $22.10 HST = $192.10.

Associate Membership:

Please attach a payment for $339 + $44.07 HST = $383.07

Intro Associate Membership:

Please attach a payment for $125 + HST = $141.25

Junior Dinghy Payment:

Please add $258 + 33.54 HST = $291.54 for your sailing dinghy.

Sailing Dinghy Payment:

Please add $258 + 33.54 HST = $291.54

Junior Kayak Payment:

Please add $181+ 23.53 HST = $204.53.

Kayak Payment:

Please add $181+ 23.53 HST = $204.53

Junior Paddleboard Payment:

This yearly membership lasts to the end of March. We do not pro-rate this fee.
