Mast Up Storage

Application for Fall Haul Out, Winter Storage and Spring Launch with Mast Up

2024 FALL / 2025 WINTER SEASON

Thank you for your interest in mast-up haul out. At this time, we believe we can accommodate your request for mast-up haul out, storage and launch. Submission of this form by the below deadline is required to complete this process and accept your boat. The Crane Committee may also refuse a particular boat if it or its cradle/trailer is unsuitable for mast-up storage.

A surcharge of $2.50 per linear foot (per club measurement) will be levied. Acceptance for any particular season does not guarantee a spot in future years, and by current policy, re-application will be required for each season.

Completed applications must be fully submitted below no later than Sunday, September 22 @ 23:59.

Waiver of Indemnity and Insurance Coverage

I understand that hauling, storing and launching, with mast-up presents additional risk of damage to equipment and rigging associated with the mast, including, but not limited to, standing rigging, spars, and any mast mounted hardware and electronics. I further agree that I will not hold ABYC, or its assigns, responsible for any such damage howsoever caused, should it occur. Members are strongly requested to remove all mast instruments in advance of haul out.

I confirm that the storage cradle or storage trailer to be used is capable of safely storing the boat with mast up (narrow cradles or trailers, or where the boat may heel in the cradle, may not be suitable).

I further attest that the mast and support rigging has been fully inspected (whether aloft or by removal) no less frequently than every three years.

I warrant that I have specifically discussed with my insurance provider that I have asked for the above boat to be hauled, stored and launched with the mast in place, and that they have confirmed the appropriate coverage through my insurance policy (referenced above) on the above boat.
