Tell us who is launching your boat. If you are launching it yourself, you must identify an alternate person to launch your boat in case of health issues on the day.

Mandatory Designated Alternate

If you are unwell on launch day, your Designated Alternate will launch for you.

At a minimum, your Designated Alternate should be able to steer your boat under tow if required; if they can start your motor and navigate to your slip, that is of course preferred. If you are launch crew only, please select that option.

Consent for launching unattended*

I understand that should I have issues on launch day that prevent me from attending, I authorize ABYC to launch my vessel unattended as I do not have an alternate who can start my motor or steer my vessel into my slip.

I understand and agree that it will be towed to my assigned dock and ABYC volunteers will secure it, and subsequently will evaluate it’s seaworthiness. In case of emergency, ABYC will contact me and I will be granted immediate access to the club to go directly to my assigned dock and remedy any issue that could cause damage or peril to my vessel.
