Wondering “what exactly is Art Rock”? Sometimes referred to Progressive Rock or Classical Rock, Art Rock is a sub-genre of rock music with experimental influences that aims to turn rock music into art and not just entertainment. Famous bands in this genre include Genesis, Talking Heads, Radiohead and The Velvet Underground, to name but a few.
